Mike Missanelli is a host on ESPN Radio in Philadelphia. He is combative and an example of generic aggressive sports talk host with no discernible talents. Despite being a non-athletic big mouth who has never played competitive sports, he broadcasts with a tough guy facade and tends to ambush his guests. Like many brainless talk radio hosts around the country, he plays to his constituents by putting on this character. In defending aggressive and angry fans in a recent argument with noted blowhard Skip Bayless, he had no evidence other than saying that Skip had no evidence of poor fan behaviour in Philadelphia because he hadn’t been to a game in ten years. The irony of it all is Mike was being aggressive and combative, filling the useless, blue collar North Eastern stereotype he was trying to nix. Of course, Skip Bayless really needs to have his hat handed to him, but Missanelli isn’t the guy to do it.

Oh no, Rush is starting to lose his audience. He has a guy calling up to complain about welfare moms having too many babies? That was a problem 10 years ago. Where has this retard been? Rush tries to deflect him and, yes, educate him, with a reference to Idiocracy – but the caller just doesn’t take the bait.
Welfare babies are a problem solved 10 years ago – if that is the kind of caller Rush gets, he must be feeling desperate. His callers are complaining about problems that were solved 10 years ago. Really, this guy is complaining about welfare babies, when a lot of hard working people are out of a job – thru no fault of their own. I don’t know what Rush is trying to work people up over nowadays, but it’s probably not welfare babies.
Reminds me of a sign I saw in a picture of the Tea Party protests from Southlake – some woman was holding up a sign that said, “If you don’t work, you dont’ eat” – Really, that’s the problem here. Really, you’re serious, that’s the problem. People don’t want to work? Are you f’king kidding me? There are a lot of people that would work, if they could find a f’ing job, you stupid B’. You are complaining about a problem that was solved 10 years ago.
That’s the problem with conservatives. They have answers for the problems we had 10 years ago – they have no answers to the problems we have now.
